
Sesamum indicum (syn. Sesamum orientale), the source of sesame seeds is an annual plant. The fruit is an oblong capsule with small oval yellowish seeds.
Active Principle:
The major ingredients are sesamin(a ligan),sesamol(a phenolic derivative)and sesamolin. The seeds are exceptionally rich in iron, magnesium, manganese, copper, and calcium. They also contain vitamin B1 (thiamine) and vitamin E (tocopherol).

Clinical Uses:
Available as Plant Extract standardized to 95% Sesamin Complex.
