Family: Scrophulariaceae

Popularly known as ‘Brahmi’ or ‘Water Hyssop’ is a succulent perennial creeper plant, normally found along the marshes and pond edges. It grows in warmer temperature and tropical climate specially in Southern Asia. It thrives in marsh land, developing into dense mats on mudflats.
Active Principle:
From the Aerial plants steroidal saponins including bacosides are extracted.The Standardized extract provides 20 & 40% Bacosides A & B which are pharmacologically active.
Clinical Uses:
Bacopa improves not only memory but also increases intelligence. Assists with A.D.D and Alzheimer’s disease.
