FENUSOL®

(Fenugreek fibres)

Corosolin®

Controls Diabetes and Cholosterol

  • The fiber contains galactomannan, which is composed of a mannose backbone with galactose molecules attached.
  • It delays sugar absorption and also improves the insulin response to meals.
  • It delays the rate of gastric emptying and slow carbohydrate absorption. This is attributed to the gel fraction which increases the viscosity of the digesta.
  • The hypocholesterolaemic effect in it has been attributed to increased conversion of hepatic cholesterol to bile salts.
  • Viscous mucilaginous fiber binds with bile acids causing reduction in cholesterol and fat absorption.
  • Galactomannans also influence gastrointestinal hormones secretions, thereby increasing the activity of a number of key enzymes in carbohydrate and lipid metabolism.
